Birög: A Week of Dialogue and Discovery

This past week marked an important milestone for MUstudioo: the debut of Birög at Espacio Gallery, London, as part of the group exhibition All Means All.

Concept: The Birög Method

Birög is a series of acrylic-on-canvas works developed by Hazal Emsiz. Built on a rule-driven methodology, paint is dropped onto the canvas in points, and the brush must move in a single, continuous gesture without lifting. Each work is created in one breath, unrepeatable, irreversible, unique. The method is described as “control within the uncontrolled,” exploring the coexistence of structure and spontaneity.

The exhibition ran from September 16 to 21, 2025, with a vibrant private view. All Means All brought together artists from diverse backgrounds and disciplines under one roof, celebrating inclusivity and dialogue.

For Hazal Emsiz, this was the London debut of Birög — a series built on a rule-driven method where paint is dropped onto the canvas in points, and the brush must move in one single, continuous gesture without lifting. Each work is created in one breath, unrepeatable and irreversible. She describes it as “control within the uncontrolled,” exploring the balance between structure and spontaneity.

The response throughout the week was heartening: thoughtful feedback, inspiring conversations, and the chance to connect with fellow artists and audiences in London. It was not only the presentation of a series, but also a moment to situate Birög within a wider artistic dialogue.

At MUstudioo, we see this exhibition as the beginning of many more milestones to come. While Birög continues as a journey of unrepeatable gestures and unique moments, it also marks the direction in which we aim to grow, where process, method and narrative remain at the heart of what we create.

Our thanks to Espacio Gallery for hosting such an inclusive and meaningful exhibition, and to everyone who visited and shared this experience with us.
